All reality is imagined, every scientific truth, every absolute, is eventually replaced by the next one. Matter transforms, reason stumbles, but that isn't what's important. What's important is the wonder it inspires. Art sometimes captures that wonder. While a picture is telling its thousand words, it's not always saying the same thing to everyone, but it isn't always trying to say something in particular. Sometimes all the information, all the line and color and form and emotion will become something unto its self. It becomes something wonderful. The way a well written character becomes real, because we can always imagine this person, so does a work of art express something into existence. It gives form to what has no form; gives love a face, and emotion a body. It gives characters life that others can see and remember, it changes as many times as someone lays eyes on it, and yet it remains its self.
It becomes as real as we are.
