Description:   
This was begun as a study of what kinds of scales or fins or their placements I could make for a mermaid and of light on the fine fibers of the tail. When I was a little girl, I used to pretend I was a mermaid, but I like having legs too much. It was not a lasting fantasy, although I love to swim in pools where it is clear, and I can pretend I'm not in water at all, but flying.
