Description:
This was done for a demonstration of my ability to show an expression on the face that was requested by Atomic Rocket Games, but it ended up being much more. Expressions are shown not just by what is on the face, but also what the body is doing. The tension in this drawing runs through all parts that are shown in the figure. He is ripping out of an old skin and being reborn into a new shape.
This is done after a roleplaying game character of mine, Loki, who is named after the Norse god, resembles him in nature, but has no blood relation. Loki is the Norse version of the Devil; he is there to test everyone and make life 'interesting'. The word loke also means serpent or dragon, so it is interesting that my character ended up taking the shape of a dragon in the game we played.
