Description:
I did this as an illustration for a story by Phil Velasquez in which the princess disobeys her parents that warn her not to go into the treasure box. She has been told that the treasure is gold, but she doesn't know what shape the gold may be in. When she opens the box, she breaks the magical lock with an iron bar (that was my addition) and this brought the wrath of the guardian of the case, a female satyr figure who plays the pipes and by the musical magic, changes her into a unicorn. The gold treasure, as it turns out, is the golden bridle of myth which is the only thing that can hold a unicorn. The princess gets to have her treasure, but the price was heavy.
